PUKACO / Material Experience

Get closer to
what moves you.

Texture has a scale. Light has a direction.
Every surface has a story.

Begin with a surface ↓

LIQUID METAL

Light finds its own path.

Watch the reflection cross the surface. The direction, size and softness of a light all become part of what you see.

02 / Watch the making

From the hand.
Into the surface.

A short study of real gestures and changing surfaces. Follow the material, then explore the full demonstration.

03 / Consider your light

One surface.
Your setting.

The question is how a material will behave where you live, work or welcome people. Start with the setting that matters to you.

What makes a lighting comparison meaningful?

Keep the same panel, camera position and exposure. Record light color (K), illuminance at the sample (lux), light direction and color rendering. A warm-looking photograph alone cannot establish any of these values.

For sheen, keep the light fixed and move the viewing angle. For relief, compare soft light with a light grazing the surface. The luminaire’s beam spread is a separate setting.

Our method draws on U.S. Department of Energy guidance and ERCO’s material-lighting guidance.

04 / Bring it into your space

    Your material conversation.

Keep up to three material directions. Your lighting questions travel with your sample request.

Your shortlist brings the surface characters together. Review physical samples side by side in your own light.
